Our normal wash is a quick, water-based aircond service for RM90 per wall-mount unit, with free checking and free travel anywhere in our KL & Selangor coverage. This page explains exactly what the technician does, what the RM90 covers, when a normal wash is the right choice — and when it honestly is not.
What Is a Normal Wash?
A normal wash — also called a general or basic service — is routine maintenance for an aircond that is still working well. It is water-based: no chemical agents are used anywhere in the process. The point is to clear the everyday build-up of dust and grime from the parts of the unit that are designed to be removed and washed, so the unit keeps cooling efficiently between deep cleans.
Here is what the technician actually does during the visit:
- Checks the unit first, free. Before any work starts, we inspect the unit and confirm a normal wash is the right service. If we find something a normal wash cannot fix — a clogged coil, mould, a refrigerant problem — we tell you and quote the correct service before touching anything. You are never charged for the inspection.
- Dismantles the washable parts. The front panel, the air filters, and the accessible drain tray come off the unit.
- Washes them with water. Filters are rinsed clean of trapped dust, the panel is washed, and the accessible drain tray is cleared so condensate can flow out the way it should.
- Wipes down the unit. The casing, grille and visible fin face are wiped down while the parts dry.
- Reinstalls and tests. Everything goes back on, and the technician runs the unit to confirm airflow and cooling before leaving.
Every normal wash comes with free checking, free travel, and a 30-day leak warranty — if the serviced unit drips because of something we did or missed in the wash, we come back and put it right at no charge.
Who a Normal Wash Is For
A normal wash is the right choice for regular upkeep — the aircond equivalent of a routine car service. Book one if:
- Your unit is still cooling well but the filters are visibly dusty
- There is a mild dusty smell when the unit starts up
- It has been 3–4 months since the last service of any kind
- You want a low-cost maintenance routine that keeps the unit healthy between annual deep cleans
Done every few months, normal washes keep airflow strong, help the unit reach temperature faster, and delay the build-up that eventually forces a deep clean.
What a Normal Wash Is NOT For
Because a normal wash is water-only and covers the washable parts, it cannot fix problems that live deeper inside the unit. A normal wash is not the right service if:
- Cooling is noticeably weak — usually a coil clogged at depth, which water and a wipe-down cannot reach
- There is a musty or mouldy smell — that is biofilm on the blower wheel, behind the coil
- Water is dripping from the indoor unit — the drainage path is blocked with slime, not just dust
- You can see black spots or mould around the vents or on the fins

Prices are for standard 1.0–2.5 HP wall-mount units. Larger systems and ceiling cassettes are quoted upfront on WhatsApp before we come — no surprises on site.

Around 30–45 minutes per wall-mount unit. A home with three units is usually finished within about two hours in a single visit, including the cooling test on each unit.
How often should I do a normal wash?
Every 3–4 months for units in daily use. Regular normal washes keep filters and washable parts clean between deep cleans, and most units still benefit from a full chemical wash every 12 months or when symptoms like smell or weak cooling appear.
Do you use chemicals in a normal wash?
No. A normal wash is water-based only — the washable parts are dismantled and rinsed with water, and the unit is wiped down. No chemical agents touch the unit. If your unit needs a chemical deep clean, we will tell you and quote the chemical wash (from RM130) before doing any work.
Is checking and travel really free?
Yes. The technician's visit, the pre-wash inspection, and travel to your address are included in the RM90 — there is no separate call-out or transport charge in our KL and Selangor coverage area. The price quoted on WhatsApp is the price you pay.
